Hijjawi hopes third wave of virus in Jordan has ended – Roya News English

Member of the National Committee for Epidemiology, Dr. Bassam Hijjawi, said that the past week saw 28,121 cases of coronavirus, and the average percentage of positive tests was 8.6 percent.

Given that the previous week saw 35,000 cases, he hopes that the third wave of the virus in Jordan has ended. 

Hijjawi confirmed that the Delta mutant is the cause of the high incidence of coronavirus in Jordan, pointing out that the confirmed Omicron mutant cases in the Kingdom amount to seven.
