Jordan’s third COVID-19 wave requires commitment – Roya News English
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Epidemiological Affairs, Dr. Adel Balbisi, said Jordan has entered a third COVID-19 wave, due to the "high" number of infections, which reached about 20k cases per week, up by 5000 cases over the last week.
Balbisi also indicated that the percentage of positive tests increased to 8 percent, calling for adhering to preventive measures, social distancing, and receiving vaccination.
In statements to "Petra" on Sunday, Balbisi noted the capacity of hospitals designated to treat COCID-19 patients is "comfortable."
