New anti-body drug cures 90 percent of COVID-19 patients: Jordanian doctor in America – Roya News English

American doctors and scientists promised the world a new drug that will reduce hospital admissions by 90 percent and therefore reduce overall deaths caused by COVID-19 as well.

Saturday, the head of the Respiratory Research Department at the Blessing Health System in the U.S. Humam Farrah told Roya this drug is made from 'Monoclonal antibodies' that are injected into the vein of high risk coronavirus patients, such as the elderly, people with chronic diseases and those suffering from obesity.

Patients can be given the drug as long as the viral infection has not reached the lungs and immediately after testing positive for COVID-19.

The research team has already started giving it to some coronavirus patients, whose health condition has worsened and were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit but there were no positive results.

He added that the drug prevents severe symptoms in the respiratory system, lung infections and COVID-19 deaths in general.

Farrah pointed out that the injection of these antibodies as well as the COVID-19 vaccines are what led to the significant decrease in the number of cases and deaths in America.
