Third COVID wave will be most severe: Former Health Minister – Roya News English

Tuesday, former Minister of Health, Saad Kharabsheh, said that the third wave of the coronavirus that is sweeping Jordan will be more severe than its predecessors.

Kharabsheh stressed, in an exclusive statement to Roya, that the current wave is considered more dangerous because life has returned to normal when all sectors were opened, especially in regards to face-to-face education, gatherings, and parties.

Kharabsheh noted that Jordan and its economy cannot handle any more closures, and what deepens the crisis is the emergence of the new variant omicron, which the WHO still knows nothing about.
