French Embassy: France continues support for health sector in Lebanon

NNA - France continues to provide direct support to the Lebanese in order to enable them to weather the consequences of the unprecedented social economic crisis they are faced with, a statement distributed Thursday by the French Embassy in Beirut said.

 

It added: "Within this context, a new exceptional batch of medical aid, coordinated by Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs' Crisis and Support Centre, arrived in Lebanon in mid-November."

 

The aid, offered by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Solidarity, and the Tulipe association, comprises one million euros in medical equipment, including 30 oxygen concentrators, 25 respirators, 50,000 antigen tests, 200000 masks, and 8 med packages.

 

The statement indicated that the offered supplies are to be delivered to three public hospitals in Beirut, Tripoli, and Tibnine, and a private hospital (Sisters of the Rosary). The process will take place under the supervision of the French Embassy in Lebanon.
