CMA issues Health Insurance Policy for Visitors | Times of Oman

In order to provide insurance coverage for visitors through the various border-crossing points to the Sultanate of Oman, the Capital Market Authority issued a health insurance policy form for visitors, including basic treatment services in the event that the visitor is exposed to perils or injury on the Omani territories.

The issuance of the policy comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts to regulate the health insurance market in the Sultanate of Oman, promoting and regulating insurance products that meet the needs of the local market which translates the efforts of the CMA to develop the performance of the insurance sector in accordance with the strategy that it seeks to achieve during the period 2021-2025 in line with the priorities of Oman Vision 2040 to support the welfare, social protection and healthcare for the residents and visitors at highest quality.

The policy will also play an important role in upgrading local tourism services and making the Sultanate of Oman a tourist destination that provides protection for tourists from the perils they may be exposed to during their visit to the governorates and Wilayats.
