Dr Muhanna Al Maslahi, DG of Private Health Institutions visits Burjeel Hospital

Muscat: Dr Muhanna Nasser Al Maslahi, the Director General of the Directorate General of Private Health Institutions at the Ministry of Health (MOH) made an official visit to Burjeel Hospital, Al Khuwair last week.

Dr Muhanna was received by Dr. Rohil Raghavan, Regional CEO, Burjeel Holdings, Oman; Mr. Nelson Prabhakaran, Director Operations; and Mrs Farzana Sultana, Head of Quality of Burjeel Hospital; as well as other members from the Hospital’s senior management team.

He was given a tour of the various departments and facilities at Burjeel and was also given a brief introduction of the Hospital’s capabilities which are comparable to best hospitals in the world. He also interacted with several patients in the hospital enquiring about their feedback of the hospital’s services.

Dr Maslahi had a warm meeting with Dr. Sultan Al Maskari, Head of the Maskari Burjeel Orthopedic Centre at the MBO’s premises within the hospital. He also took special interest in the oncology department and had a long interaction with both of the hospital’s oncologists.

During the tour of the Hospital, Dr Maslahi expressed his support for the private sector and his desire to enable the private healthcare sector to play a larger role in transforming Oman’s healthcare ecosystem.
