The expat was selling the tobacco in a residential neighbourhood in the wilayat of Barka.

CPA, in cooperation with the Police Command of South Batinah Governorate, arrested the expat and seized a large quantity of tobacco.

‘The expatriate confessed to the crime and legal procedures have been completed against him. Accordingly, an administrative fine of RO2,000 was imposed. The seized tobacco will be destroyed in accordance with Consumer Protection Authority controls and procedures in force.’
