The Omani Ministry of Health (MoH) has signed two funding agreements with Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for the purchase of modern medical equipment to boost preventive healthcare in the Sultanate.

The first deal is for the purchase of cancer detection devices for the Royal Hospital in Muscat, while the second agreement is for the supply of Complete Blood Count (CBC) machines for 5 different health centers in the North Sharqiyah Governorate.

The cancer detection devices will enable seamless and early cancer diagnosis, intervention, and treatment resulting in reducing the severity of the disease. In addition, they will help improve the quality of life for patients by providing a cost-effective, simple, and quick alternative to other expensive detection alternatives.

Similarly, Complete Blood Count (CBC) devices will make early detection of various diseases with more ease and quick, allowing patients to explore more preventive options. These devices will also aid in the evaluation of a patient’s general health, with a focus on blood conditions.
