HMC Home Healthcare Service expands, covers more patients – The Peninsula

Doha: The Home Healthcare Service (HHCS) at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has expanded its services to ensure those in need have quick and easy access to high-quality care at home. The service has reached nearly 2,600 patients.

The Home Health Care Service has expanded in several areas including facilities, services and established a Patient’s Call Center, Fatima Al Haddad, Director of Nursing, Home Healthcare Services-Continuing Care Group told The Peninsula.

With the expansion of services and facilities Home Health Care Service accommodates more than 50% patients compared to 2017.

“HMC’s Home Health Care Service has multidisciplinary care teams, including doctors, nurses, Dietician, Respiratory therapist, oral hygienist and patient care assistants, who conduct home visits to perform necessary clinical examinations and review the patient’s care plan,” Fatima Al Haddad, Director of Nursing, Home Healthcare Services-Continuing Care Group told The Peninsula.

“At present we care for nearly 2600 patients living in the community across Qatar, most of whom are aged 60 years and older,” she added.

HHCS, which is based in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, has satellite offices in Al Khor and Al Wakra and Muaither and Duhail helping to serve the public in more areas.
