Malaysia looking for Qatari firms to collaborate on healthcare tourism – The Peninsula

Doha: The Malaysian Embassy in Qatar revealed that they are looking to complement the facilities and services of Qatar and are seeking potential collaboration in the country in the healthcare sector.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Qatar, together with the Malaysia’s healthcare travel industry brand, Malaysia Healthcare, which is under the Ministry of Health, conducted the second series of Webinar on Introduction to Malaysia Healthcare (MHTC) focusing on the topic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Thalassaemia.

Malaysian Ambassador to the State of Qatar H E Zamshari Shaharan said in his speech: “We like to encourage for any potential collaborations with any entities in Qatar under the healthcare industry.” He further explained that the webinar introduces and explores the potentials and possibilities that his country offers in terms of healthcare.

“MHTC came to Doha last month and nothing beats seeing them in-person,” he said. “With this visit, it reinvigorated relations particularly in Qatar. Relation has been established in 2019 but unfortunately because of COVID-19, travelling has stopped. But this webinar encourages people to come to Malaysia for healthcare tourism,” he continued.
