Qatar Post reduces home delivery charges for HMC and PHCC medication – The Peninsula

Doha: The home delivery fee for medications, medical reports, medical consumables and dietary products has been reduced from QR30 to QR20.

Qatar Post, in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), announced this.

The service was launched in April 2020 as a response to the pandemic but continued thanks to positive feedback from patients and so far more than 400,000 medication deliveries have been made to HMC patients and almost 200,000 medication deliveries to PHCC patients using the service. The reduced fee will be in place until the end of the year.

Dr. Moza Al Hail, Executive Director of HMC’s Pharmacy Department said the reduction of the fee to QR20 would make the service more accessible to patients.

“This is a very convenient service that enables patients to receive their prescribed medications safely and conveniently,” Dr. Al Hail said. “This partnership has delivered real and lasting benefits to our patients. We would like to thank Qatar Post for their continued support and encourage our patients to utilize this great service.”
