Sidra Medicine conference to focus on emergency, urgent care for children – The Peninsula

Doha: Sidra Medicine has partnered with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to host the sixth edition of the Qatar Paediatric Emergency Medicine (QPEM) conference from March 18 to 20.

QPEM 2022 will be a virtual conference and will focus on paediatric emergency and urgent care. The conference is accredited for nurses, doctors, allied health, paramedics, nurse practitioners and pharmacists as well as trainees.

Prof. Khalid Al Ansari, Chair of Emergency Medicine at Sidra Medicine and Chair of QPEM 2022, said, “Our goal at QPEM 2022 is to provide high-quality, evidence-based updates for healthcare practitioners caring for ill and injured children. Together with our partners from HMC, and with the input from local and international experts, we will share case studies and methodologies so that hospitals and multidisciplinary teams can incorporate quality and patient safety goals into practice.”

QPEM 2022 will feature topics that range from paediatric trauma, procedural sedation, infectious diseases, pain management, surgical emergencies, respiratory emergencies, toxic exposures and more. QPEM will also cover how to conduct research in paediatric emergency medicine.
