Deal signed to add event tickets to Saudi health app
RIYADH: A deal has been signed to add event tickets to the Tawakkalna health app, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Tawakkalna was launched last year to help track COVID-19 infections. It has since been updated to include vaccination information and infection status, while also functioning as a COVID-19 "passport."
Under the agreement, ticketing companies approved by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) will be linked to the Tawakkalna platform, so that tickets can be sold electronically and the user's purchased tickets can appear on the app.
The deal was signed between the GEA and the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) in Riyadh by GEA CEO Faisal bin Saeed Bafarat and the CEO of the Tawakkalna platform Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Issa.
