Health Ministry Spokesman: 117 New Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Jan 10, 2021, SPA -- Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali confirmed in a press conference here today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is among the list of countries that witness more stability and decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, pointing out that the confirmed cases continue to decrease by 98%. Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that 178,337 vaccine doses have been given so far.

Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that 117 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; thus bringing the total number to 363,809 confirmed cases, including 1,970 active cases, receiving necessary medical care. Of these, there are 309 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that 116 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 355,548 cases. Also, five new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 6,291.
