KSA: Expat impersonating health practitioner under investigation by Saudi authorities – Gulf Digital News

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Public Prosecution announced that it has initiated an investigation against an expatriate who is accused of impersonating a healthcare practitioner, in violation of the provisions of the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions.

Investigations revealed that the man allegedly posted fake medical advice on social media and delivered a lecture at a hotel on the basis of his falsified claims.

The man claimed to provide medical opinion to patients although he does not possess any academic qualifications in the medical field or any legal documents that allow him to practice medicine.

Authorities have emphasised their commitment to protecting the public from illegal medical practices that endanger the health and safety of individuals.

The Public Prosecution warned that impersonating any healthcare professionals or advertising medical consultations without obtaining a license from the competent authority is strictly prohibited and the violators will face stringent legal action in accordance with the law.
