Saudi set to reinstate Covid restrictions – ArabianBusiness.com

Saudi Arabia is set to re-introduce certain restrictions as the kingdom looks to overturn an increasing number of coronavirus cases.

An official source at the Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday that the mandatory wearing of face masks and social distancing in all closed and open places and events and activities, would come into force from 7am on December 30.

A report by the state-run Saudi Press Agency said the decision was taken “upon recommendations of specialised health institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the epidemiological conditions and the increasing number of Covid-19 infections and its variants”.
