Take COVID booster shot to cross the causeway, Saudi tells citizens | THE DAILY TRIBUNE | KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

Starting Wednesday, taking the third COVID-19 booster dose is mandatory for passengers to leave and enter Saudi Arabia, said King Fahd Causeway authority. Saudi Arabia said on Thursday said that citizens will be required to take the COVID-19 booster shot to be able to travel abroad starting Feb. 9. Bahrain also wants visitors to present a negative PCR result before entry. King Fahd Causeway Authority, in a statement, said it is mandatory for citizens who had completed three months after taking the second dose to take their booster dose before entering the causeway. “Those who are under 16 years of age and those excluded by the Tawakkalna app are excused,” the authority said. The authority also obligates all arriving passengers, including citizens, - regardless of their immunization status - to submit a negative PCR result or rapid antigens test result taken within 48 hours from the date of departure or entry, except for those under eight years of age.
