Turkish pilgrims exempted from age requirement, COVID-19 vaccine procedures – Saudi Gazette

MAKKAH — Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced the cancelation of health procedures of COVID-19 vaccines for all pilgrims coming from Turkey, as well as exempting them from the age requirement.

Dr. Al-Rabiah’s announcement came during a joint press conference he held with the Head of Türkiye’s Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş.

He confirmed that Saudi Arabia’s government and people welcome all numbers of upcoming Umrah pilgrims without limit, in addition to allowing those with various visa types from all over the world to perform the Umrah rituals.

This comes within the continuous support and care that the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques offers to serve Islam and Muslims.

It is also to facilitate the pilgrims’ arrival to the Kingdom to perform Umrah with ease and smoothness, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

During the press conference, Dr. Al-Rabiah mentioned the fast developments that the Two Holy Mosques are witnessing in terms of infrastructure and organization in preparation to receive the expected increases in the numbers of pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors.

The rapid developments in the Grand Mosque in Makkah and Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah have been also conducted in order to offer
