Covid-19: UAE reports 3,382 cases, highest daily rise in infections
The UAE has reported 3,382 infections on January 14, its highest daily rise in new cases since the pandemic broke out in the country last year.
The country's second daily spike in new infections, equaling 3,362 cases, was recorded on January 13.
The health ministry conducted 126,625 tests across the country to screen for the pathogen.
An additional 2,671 patients have now recuperated, scaling the total recoveries to 215,820.
Meanwhile, three fatalities were also confirmed, raising the death toll to 726.
The case count in the UAE has now risen to 242,969.
