Dubai Airports, GMR Hyderabad to form COVID-19 vaccine distribution corridor

UAE - Mubasher: Dubai Airports has partnered with GMR Hyderabad (GMR-HYD) to establish a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine distribution corridor, according to the Dubai media office.

The HYD-DXB vaccine corridor will connect major vaccine manufacturers in India with markets around the world via Dubai's cargo hub. 

The corridor will have the capacity handle up to 300 tonnes of vaccines per day, in partnership with dnata cargo.

The vaccine corridor will also be supported by Dubai Airports' interlinked cargo facilities at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC), 88 global airlines, 12 international, and 400 local and regional freight forwarders.

Commenting on the partnership, the CEO of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths, said: "Our partnership with GMR-Hyderabad is timed perfectly just as the global race to develop the vaccines enters the final stage."
