A new Covid field hospital was opened in Ajman on Sunday.

Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, announced the opening of the hospital on his Instagram account.

He posted photos showing him touring the facility. In the post, he thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention had announced earlier in March that seven Covid field hospitals are set to open in the UAE this month.

These facilities will have a total of 2,058 beds, of which 292 will be dedicated to critical cases.

“Equipped with the latest medical technologies, the hospitals will be able to provide exceptional treatment to Covid patients,” the ministry said.
