UAE approves Moderna COVID-19 vaccine’s emergency use

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention has approved the emergency use of Moderna's coronavirus vaccine. This decision was made following the completion of clinical trials and a strict assessment carried out to approve the vaccine's local emergency use, in addition to the approval of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to a press release on Sunday. Moderna vaccine is the fifth coronavirus vaccine approved in the UAE after Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford AstraZeneca, Russia's Sputnik V, and China's Sinopharm. The , referred that approving the emergency use of Moderna will contribute to enhancing the prevention and accelerating the recovery phase and community immunization.
