UAE Covid-19 vaccine: At-home service for the elderly

We have prioritised the availability of the vaccine to them, says top official.







The UAE's National Vaccination Programme against Covid-19 has seen over a million residents get vaccinated. On Tuesday, a top official said that the vaccine can be administered to senior citizens in their homes.

"Our message today is to a dear group, our elders. We have prioritised the availability of the vaccine to them,“ said Dr Farida Al Hosni, spokesperson for the UAE health sector, as she addressed the weekly Covid-19 briefing on Tuesday.

"Help us protect you, we can visit you at home to assess your medical condition and provide you the vaccine.“

The vaccine is offered for free to residents at more than 150 medical centres across the UAE, she added.
