UAE may impose restrictions on unvaccinated residents

The UAE is considering the possibility of imposing movement restrictions on residents who have not taken the Covid-19 vaccine despite being eligible to do so.According to the Covid-19 briefing on Tuesday, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said unvaccinated residents will not be able to enter some places and obtain some services.Delaying or refusing the vaccine is a threat to the safety of society and exposes all groups, especially those most vulnerable to infection, to the virus, NCEMA added. The NCEMA stressed that it is necessary and important that residents above 16 eligible for vaccination to get vaccinated in order to reach full recovery and protect society from Covid-19 variants.Individuals with medical conditions must see a specialist to determine if they are eligible for the vaccine.Comments Read Next1 hour agoUAE: 113,621 Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in 24 hours9 hours agoSaudi: Seven blood clots maybe linked to AstraZeneca2 days agoSaudi: 55% of COVID-19 positive cases are women2 days agoQatar: Cleric Al-Qaradawi contracts Covid-193 days agoUAE expands eligibility criteria for Pfizer vaccine3 days agoBahrain announces guidelines for SMC patient visitors5 days agoAstraZeneca committed to supply COVAX, calls for open borders5 days agoGoogle launches vaccine-finding feature in bid to fight
