Dubai – Medcare Women & Children Hospital has become the first hospital in Dubai to receive the Gold Seal Accreditation as Centre of Excellence for Endometriosis Multidisciplinary Care (COEMEC) by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), USA. This accreditation is awarded for meeting the highest global standards of medical care for endometriosis, a chronic inflammatory disease affecting roughly 10% (per cent) of women and girls who are of reproductive age worldwide. Endometriosis is a disease where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing severe pain, infertility and other complications.
