The post Well-known social worker PM Jabir to be honoured in UAE appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.MUSCAT: PM Jabir, well-known social activist and former Social Welfare Secretary of Indian Social Club Muscat, will be honoured with the ‘Madhavan Pady’ award constituted by UAE-based cultural association MAS.

The award from MAS is named after late Madhavan Pady, who was a well-known social worker and former General Secretary of Sharjah Indian Association. Jabir will be honoured for his works for the cause of less privileged, cutting across all nationalities.

Since 1982, Jabir has been helping Indian expatriates, more so blue collars in Oman. In 2022, he bid adieu to the Sultanate after spending nearly four decades. However he still continues to help those in distress. “This is my life calling, to help the poor. I will do this until my last breath. The love and support I receive from the people I help is what motivates me,” said Jabir in an earlier interview with The Arabian Stories.
