Egypt’s Al-Mahsama plant wins award for best world water recycling project in 2020
US online platform Engineering News-Record (ENR), which specialises in engineering and construction news and analyses, has dubbed Egypt's Al-Mahsama wastewater treatment plant, located in Ismailia, as the best project internationally of 2020.
The ENR award is the fourth international award the plant has obtained, being previously dubbed the best project internationally for wastewater recycling in 2020 by the UK's Capital Finance International (CFI), and winning the best infrastructure project award for 2019 in MENA by the Construction Innovation Awards.
In addition, the plant has been nominated to be enrolled in the selective projects list for the best wastewater recycling project award, which is given by the Global Water Awards, which will announce the winners during the global water summit in Spain after the COVID-19 crisis subsides.
