Oman, Jordan ink several pacts in fields of industrial cities, youth, education

Amman, Jordan – The Omani-Jordanian Joint Committee held its 11th meeting in Amman on Thursday under the chairmanship of Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Ayman al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During the meeting, Sayyid Badr stressed that Oman and Jordan have been developing strong relations that continue to grow and prosper, thanks to the wise directives and Royal attention accorded by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Abdullah II Ibn al Hussein.

Sayyid Badr pointed out that Oman-Jordan relations have been renewed in accordance with the peoples’ aspirations of the two countries for wider partnership and cooperation in various economic, cultural, technical and scholarly fields.

He stressed that harmony prevails in Oman and Jordan’s visions and stances towards regional and international issues. In this context, the minister stressed the need to resolve disputes through dialogue and by peaceful means, based on the rules of the international law and respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and legitimate rights of states.
