Among these, a rare strain of wild barley found in the Sahasah area of the Wilayat of Khasab stands out as a remarkable botanical treasure.

Four distinct plant species were identified in the Dhofar Governorate, three in the Musandam Governorate, two in the Buraimi Governorate, and one in the Al Dhahirah Governorate. These species, characterized by their scarcity and limited geographical distribution, highlight the unique ecological tapestry of Oman’s diverse landscapes.
