Six pacts worth RO1.7mn signed to boost Dakhliyah industrial sector

Muscat – The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MHUP) signed eight usufruct contracts worth RO1.9mn for the industrial and commercial housing sectors in the governorate of Dakhliyah.

The usufructs were signed on behalf of the ministry by H E Dr Mohammed Ali al Mutawa, Undersecretary for Urban Planning in MHUP. Present at the signing ceremony were H E Dr Khalfan bin Said al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning; and Sheikh Hilal Said al Hajri, governor of Dakhliyah.

Of the eight, six usufructs were signed for the industrial sector in the wilayats of Nizwa and Samayil worth RO1.7mn. While two agreements were inked for the commercial housing sector in the same wilayats worth over RO200,000.

During the ceremony, members of the Municipal Council of Dakhliyah met with H E Dr Mutawa, Dakhliyah governor and several other officials from the ministry.

The meeting highlighted the integrated residential neighbourhood projects ‘Sorouh’.

It also reviewed the locations where the project will be implemented in the governorate.
