‎Almarai launches 2 new plants for poultry, baked goods in Hail province

Almarai Co. announced today the inauguration of two new plants for poultry and baked goods in Hail province. It also launched a giant solar energy station serving the two plants.

The third poultry plant will add 50 million birds to Almarai's total production capacity, to reach 250 million birds annually.

Meanwhile, the bakery plant is currently operating with a production capacity of 413 million pieces of packaged goods annually. It joins Almarai bakery plants in Al-Kharj and Jeddah in producing 1.8 billion pieces of baked goods annually through the two brands Lusine and 7Days.

The solar energy station in Hail produces 22 GWh of electricity annually, and it will contribute, along with the other station that the company established in Al-Kharj Governorate a few years ago, to remove 33,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually, according to Almarai.

Almarai now owns 14 plants for the production of foodstuff, including eight plants in Saudi Arabia, and six others in the UAE, Egypt and Jordan.
