‎MSCI adds 13 firms to MSCI Saudi Arabia Standard Index in semi-annual review

MSCI Inc, the provider of research-based indexes and analytics, announced the results of its May 2022 Semi-annual Index Review. MSCI added Elm Co., ACWA Power, The Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB), and Saudi Tadawul Holding Group Co. to the index, raising the total number of index constituents to 36.

On the other hand, Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Co. and The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) were added to MSCI Saudi Arabia Small Cap Index, after their exclusion from MSCI Saudi Arabia Standard Index.

The global index compiler also added Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia), Almunajem Foods Co., Methanol Chemicals Co. (Chemanol), Middle East Paper Co. (MEPCO), Nayifat Finance Co., Saudi Automotive Services Co. (SASCO) and Theeb Rent a Car Co. to the small cap index. Accordingly, the total number of market players joining the index reached 61.

All updates will come into effect by the close of trading on May 31.
