Dubai Municipality to enhance waste treatment firms’ environmental ties

The Dubai Municipality has hosted a Consumer Forum intending to create a better environmental partnership for private companies working in the waste collection, transportation, and treatment sectors in the Emirate and to provide quality services that satisfy the aspirations of all customers in the Municipality.

The forum sought to inform and educate companies working in the field of sustainable waste treatment in Dubai about the importance of promoting ways and means of utilizing solid waste in compliance with specific rules and regulations.

The forum provided an ideal platform to expand the horizons of serious dialogue, to meet with clients and private sector representatives, to listen to their constructive opinions, and to better understand their needs to reach the highest level of public satisfaction by providing excellent services in line with distinguished practices and recognized international standards.

Many topics and presentations were reviewed and discussed, including raising awareness on the importance of enhancing solid waste separation from the source, collecting and transporting the waste, and the opportunities and challenges in these areas, in addition to reviewing and discussing a working paper entitled “Supporting the Recycling Industry” and Waste Treatment in Dubai.

All the suggestions submitted by the participants were recorded and all the inquiries addressed
