Abu Dhabi’s Kezad to house new $204m aluminium facility

The facility will be built on 100,000 sq m of land leased from Kezad Group for 50 years, the UAE state-owned Wam news agency reported. The company will source its raw material from Emirates Global Aluminium, one of Kezad Group’s anchor tenants in the metals sector.

EGA operates the region’s largest aluminium smelter in Kezad.

The Kings Aluminium facility aims to localise the manufacturing of various supply chains, utilise local raw materials, enhance environmental and sustainability in the production process, and promote circular economy.

The facility will transform virgin aluminium and aluminium waste into high-quality reusable materials, reducing the carbon footprint associated with aluminium production.
