ADSW: MoIAT to sign strategic partnerships and announce regulatory decrees ahead of COP28

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) is gearing up for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2023, being held from 14-19 January under the theme ‘United on Climate Action Toward COP28’.

As part of its participation, MoIAT will boost its local and international synergies, announce new decrees regulating the trade of recycled plastic water bottles aiming to enhance the sustainability of the industrial sector. The ministry will oversee the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will establish a national investment partnership to support the shift to a circular economy.

The ministry will also highlight its range of incentives and enablers including green financing for the industrial sector as part of the Make it in the Emirates initiative, which supports the localization of supply chains in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology (Operation 300 Billion). MoIAT will also showcase key programs that promote the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) solutions in industry to enhance productivity, efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability.
