KIB issues environmentally friendly banking cards

KUWAIT: In a highly strategic step that reaffirms its strong commitment towards achieving both organizational and environmental sustainability across its entire operational spectrum, upholding its position as an active member within the United Nations Global Compact, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently announced the issuance of “Go Green” banking cards, fabricated purely from recycled biodegradable materials. Through this eco-friendly venture, KIB aims to contribute to the overall reduction of its carbon footprint, in line with the global movement towards environmental conservation and protecting the planet in the long-term.

Adopting an eco-conscious work culture within its responsible practices, mandated by its Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) division, KIB will be issuing both its Debit and Black account “green” cards, manufactured entirely from recycled components, offering an eco-friendly option that maintains the highest level of quality and durability. These biodegradable components will also allow users to recycle the new cards upon expiration, as an alternative solution to typical disposal options.
