Alba endorses Call to Action for Decarbonization to meet Bahrain’s Net Zero Emissions by 2060

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), a leader in Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), has collaborated with a top-class sustainability consultant to develop a fully-fledged roadmap to realise its ambitious ESG goals in line with Bahrain’s commitment for ‘Net Zero Emissions’ by 2060. Alba’s roadmap will lay out quick wins, short-term and long-terms goals in line with the Company’s Mission to inspire change and boost its status as an Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) certified aluminium producer. Alba has recently issued a Public Tender for supplying and installing solar panels for its Solar Farm with a view to diversify its energy sources and adopt clean energy in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and its Green/Renewable Energy Targets led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Solar Farm project will have a capacity of more than 5 MW and cover an approximate surface area of 37,000 sq. mts. spread over operational areas, car parks and Alba Club.
