MEP works on Bahrain’s $9.28m Nabih Saleh water distribution station complete – MEP MiddleEast

Construction has completed on Bahrain's Nabih Saleh Water Distribution, with a solar panel system being installed on its upper reservoir.

Nass Contracting Company constructed all the station's facilities and supplied it with the latest mechanical, electrical, control, and communication equipment. UK consultancy firm, Mott MacDonald, oversaw the construction of the project.

A one-million-gallon upper tank, with accompanying pipelines and valves, as well as a building for electrical devices, control devices, and a water chlorination system were constructed, as part of the project.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Mansoor Al-Aali (AMA Group) covered the upper reservoir, and installed solar energy cells for the project.

The 702 solar cell panels will produce about 253kW of clean electrical energy. The produced solar energy will cover the needs of the water distribution station, and the surplus electricity will be exported to the electricity distribution network.

The construction of the station is part of Bahrain's Electricity and Water Authority's (EWA) plans to develop and expand water distribution networks within the kingdom, which is in line with the directives of the government, led by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, to provide electricity and water services to meet the growing demand in the
