Egypt takes advantage of gas crisis in Europe to promote tourism

That’s the message Egypt is promoting as part of its Egypt winter tourism initiative, following in the wake of Russia announcing it would be cutting off gas to EU countries.

Egypt thereby put forward a new initiative that supports tourism in Egypt in the winter, under the title “Your office in a warm paradise on the sea.”

The initiative aims to attract Europeans to work in the winter season from Egypt, especially as most of them are still working from home after the coronavirus crisis. Due to Russian gas outage, it is difficult to heat European homes this year.

The initiative promotes accommodation throughout winter to work remotely from tourist resorts on the shores of the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, taking advantage of Egypt’s warm weather in these months compared to Europe.

Visitors will enjoy a low cost for long-term accommodation, and quiet work on the sea under sunlight divine heating.
