EU proposes Russian oil embargo in sixth round of sanctions – The National

The European Union is proposing a ban on Russian oil imports as part of a sixth round of sanctions to punish Moscow for the war in Ukraine.

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said the proposed embargo would ban the import of crude oil within six months and of refined products by the end of the year.
