International Energy Agency says Delta strain has harmed oil market – Roya News English
The International Energy Agency said that the spread of the Delta mutant negatively affected the oil markets and reversed the sudden increase in oil demand.
The agency stated in its monthly report that estimates indicate that demand for oil fell in July, noting that the rapid spread of the Delta strain has disrupted deliveries in China, Indonesia and other parts of Asia.
She noted that the new restrictions to combat Covid-19 imposed in several large oil-consuming countries, especially in Asia, will reduce movement and use of oil.
