Wood beefs up order book despite slower than expected start to 2021

Global engineering and consultancy firm Wood said it had managed to beef up its order book by almost 10% so far in 2021, despite a “slower than anticipated” start to the year.

Ahead of its annual general meeting, Wood said good growth in consulting and operations had lifted its order book to £5 billion, up 9% on year end 2020.

Recent highlights include a five-year contract extension for Wood’s work on Taqa assets in the UK North Sea.
