Fire put out at Kuwait’s Mina al-Ahmadi refinery
Dubai, 16 January (Argus) — Kuwait's state-owned refiner KNPC has extinguished the fire that broke out at its 346,000 b/d Mina al-Ahmadi refinery on 14 January.
The refiner issued a statement on 15 January, saying that it was in "full control" of the fire that broke at 10:00 local time at the refinery's No.32 gas liquefaction unit.
KNPC said that production, exports and domestic supply of oil products continued unaffected given that the unit was already out of service for maintenance when the fire broke out.
