Sustainability in society promotes country’s economic growth: EPA – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS – Arab Times Kuwait News

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: The Environment Public Authority (EPA) stressed today, Sunday, the importance of applying sustainability in society, as it contributes to improving indicators of the country’s economic growth and attracting local and foreign investments towards new economic activities.

Sheikha Al-Ibrahim, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Authority, said in a press statement that environmental sustainability is a goal and a necessary requirement, as the conference ‘Kuwait Sustainability’ will start on the 12th of this month under the slogan ‘Biodiversity to build a sustainable future’ under the auspices of the Environment Public Authority, the United Nations, the National Assembly and the General Secretariat for Planning, Kuwait University and the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. She added that the application of sustainability in society has many benefits, including improving indicators of the country’s economic growth and attracting local and foreign investments towards new economic activities such as renewable energy and recycling household and industrial waste or safe disposal of it.
