Crisis in Lebanon deepens as several bakeries, hospitals, gas stations cease operations – Roya News English
The severe rationing of electricity and the hike in fuel prices have intensified the already dire situation in Lebanon in recent days.
Most of the fuel stations stopped working, while some of the stations that opened their doors are witnessing queues of cars.
The representative of fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Chakra, said that the direct cause of the crisis is the failure of the Ministry of Energy to issue the new price schedule after its dispute with the Bank of Lebanon over the schedule after the Central Bank’s decision to lift subsidies on fuel.
