Fayyad visits Iraq to sign MoU over supplying Lebanon with oil derivatives

NNA - Caretaker Minister of Energy, Walid Fayyad, left Beirut on Friday bound fornbsp;Iraq to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and the Iraqi Ministry of Oil overnbsp;supplying Lebanon with oil derivatives.nbsp;

This agreement comes in line with the discussions being held with Iraqi officials, led by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia#39; Al-Sudani, and under the close follow-up of Minister Fayyad. Consequently, the Iraqi side approved an extension of the agreement to supply Lebanon with an increased quantity of Iraqi fuel oil.nbsp;

It is to note that Minister Fayyad will be returning to Beirut later on Friday evening.
