Freelancing platform Dawam to be launched on Jan 23

To facilitate self-employment and support jobseekers, a national freelancing platform called Dawam will be launched on Tuesday.Muscat – To facilitate self-employment and support jobseekers, a national freelancing platform called Dawam will be launched on Tuesday.

Dawam will serve as a comprehensive database of experts from various fields and specialisations, including retirees and jobseekers.

The platform will be inaugurated under the patronage of H H Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd al Said, Assistant Secretary-General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, in the presence of H E Dr Mahad bin Said Ba’owain, Minister of Labour, and H H Sayyida Meyyan bint Shihab al Said, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Dawam.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, a Dawam official said, “Several government agencies and private sector firms are involved in it.”

The platform will offer experts an opportunity to provide their services to both the public and private sectors. This will contribute to enhancing cooperation between the two sectors and promote sustainable development in the sultanate.
