Manah1 and 2 Solar projects assigned to international investors: APSR

Muscat – The sultanate’s two new utility-scale solar power Manah 1 and 2 solar projects in the Wilayat of Manah with a combined capacity of 1,000MW have been assigned to international investors.

Statement issued by The Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR) , said, the authority has granted its approval to the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) to assign the ‘Manah 1 and Manah 2’ solar energy projects to international investors, with an estimated investment of RO300mn.

Spread over 15 million sqm, the projects are located in the Wilayat of Manah and have a total production capacity of 500MW each. It is expected that about 2,082,000 solar panels will be installed in the two stations of the project, which will be considered the largest solar panel project in Oman.
