The Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) is poised to sign an agreement exceeding RO 322 million for the strategic "Interconnection - Phase Two" project.

A major transmission station will be erected in the Shaleem region as part of this comprehensive initiative.

Key elements of the project include constructing electricity transmission lines spanning 590 kilometres between Duqm and Dhofar stations, focusing on improving system efficiency and reducing costs, particularly in the vibrant city of Salalah. Moreover, the project aligns with Oman’s plans to integrate renewable energy sources by facilitating the connection of renewable energy plants to the transmission network.

Highlighting the significance of this endeavour, M.
